45th Annual Cherokee Triangle Art Fair

The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is not a warm-up for the St. James Court Art Show. The outdoor show near Cherokee Park is a tradition in Louisville, drawing more than 200 juried artists from across the country, whose work represents a range of styles and mediums. Every year I’ve gone, the fair seems to offer increasingly sophisticated work. Maybe you will find that elusive Derby hat! And then, of course, the fair is a good place to get tomato plants, herbs and more for the garden. Grab a beer and braut and dine in the shade of the Gen. John Breckinridge Castleman statue. Activities begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Children’s Parade, which lines up on Cherokee Road at Longest Avenue. —Keith Stone
