Literary LEO is a special tradition that has been around for more than two decades. Over the years, some of the best writing to appear in the paper and online has come from the brilliant creativity and talent of our readers. This Wednesday, we continue that tradition by honoring this year’s winners, with a winning photography exhibit and select readings of short stories and poetry. The winners were chosen by a distinguished panel of judges: outlaw poet icon, Ron Whitehead; founder of Fire Writers’ Workshops, Angela Burton; and UofL professor of photography Mary Carothers. The event is free, as are the hors d’oeuvres, and there will be a cash bar.
