18th Century Thunder: A Revolutionary War Encampment

Not interested in the boom, boom, boom of Thunder Over Louisville? Take the family on a trip back to 1778, where you can visit with soldiers of the Revolutionary War, blacksmiths and leatherworkers and learn about 18th-century cuisine in the hearth kitchen. The kiddos can also, “participate in recruitment for new, pint-sized troops.” This experience is as American as fireworks over the Ohio, which, if you must, you can still go to after Locust Grove… It’ll be like a real celebration of freedom after winning the Revolution.
