Thunder Over Louisville is returning to the waterfront on Saturday, April 23 after last year’s multi-neighborhood firework show and 2020’s cancellation. You can watch the show along the Louisville riverfront for the price of a Pegasus Pin, of course, but there are other, less crowded-options. Here is a list of parties you can attend — some for viewing, others just an excuse to celebrate.

Thunder Over River Road @ Zero’s Luxe Lounge  |  1346 River Road  |  thunderoverriverroad.eventbrite.com  |  $50 per person |  Noon Your meal is included with a ticket to Zero’s Luxe Lounge’s Thunder party, also featuring private parking for some ticketholders and cornhole/other games in the parking lot.

Thunder Over Louisville @ Lynn Family Stadium  |  350 Adams St.  |  loucity.com/lynnfamilystadium  |  Tickets start at $19  |  Noon The soccer stadium’s video board will air Louisville City FC’s away game versus the Charleston Battery and then they will begin a countdown to the fireworks. Live music from Radiotronic will start at 8 p.m. ahead of the show at 9:30 p.m.

Jammin’ At The Jefferson @ The Jefferson Venue  |  715 W. Riverside Drive, Jeffersonville, Indiana  |  Search Facebook  |  $65-$150 |  1 p.m.-11:30 p.m. Enjoy live music from Clayton Anderson and a beer garden while watching Thunder from a venue with a prime location at the base of the Second Street Bridge.

Take in musical and theatrical performances (as well as the fireworks) at the Kentucky Center's first Thunder event since 2018 — also featuring food and multiple bars.

ThunderBlast @ Kentucky Science Center  |  727 W. Main St.  |  kysciencecenter.org  |  $35-$125 |  2 p.m.-10 p.m. Enjoy the full experience of the Kentucky Science Center, food trucks and great views of the Thunder action.

FUN-DER Viewing Party  |  KFC Yum Center  |  1 Arena Plaza  |  kfcyumcenter.com. |. Tickets start at $420 for a table of two  |  2:30 p.m. Watch the show from the Spirit Room, which offers an indoor panoramic view of the fireworks and the air show. The event will include afternoon snack, a delicious dinner, a dessert buffet, a DJ, a photo booth and a cash bar.

The Crashers + Thunder Fireworks Stream @ Christy’s Garden |  720 Brent St.  |  Search Facebook |  $15-$50 |  8 p.m. Christy’s Garden is far away from the Thunder hubub, but you’ll be able to watch the show on the outdoor venue’s giant LED wall while also enjoying the sounds of the Louisville Crashers.
