We’ve rounded that Halloween corner and slid right into Christmas. All holidays in between, including Thanksgiving, get wrapped up in what is now known as “the holiday buying season.” Art wants to feel that love too, so below is a partial list of art-related holiday events and exhibitions.

The Block Party Handmade Boutique (560 S. Fourth St., blockpartyhandmade.com) is showing “The Nativity Exhibition” featuring Candy Wheat from Thursday, Nov. 19 through December.

The next exhibition at the Kentucky Fine Art Gallery is their “Small Works Holiday Show.” The opening reception will be held Friday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. (the show ends Dec. 23). The gallery is housed in Leslie H. Spetz Custom Picture Framing (2400 Lime Kiln Lane, kentuckyfineartgallery.com).

The Revelry Boutique Gallery (742 E. Market St., revelrygallery.com) is offering 15 percent off during the 4th Annual Nulu Holiday Open House on Saturday, Nov. 21.

This year’s holiday exhibition at Galerie Hertz features collage artist Jacque Parsley and runs from Nov. 22 through Dec. 31 (1253 S. Preston St., galeriehertz.com).

Nov. 27 is the next F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop (fatfridayhop.org).

Blow-your-own glass ornaments continue to be popular. Appointments are available at Flame Run at Glassworks (815 W. Market St., flamerun.com) from Nov. 27 through Dec. 30 (check out their exhibition “Bubbles and Bobbles” Nov. 27 through Jan. 23). Hyland Glass (721 E. Washington St., hylandglass.com) is taking reservations through Dec. 19. Studio Gordon (954 E. Kentucky St., studiogordon.com) is featuring carved glass snowflakes through December.

Liberty Tattoo and Art Parlor’s “7th Annual Under $50 Art Show” runs from Nov. 27 through Dec. 30 (2801 S. Third St., libertytattooandart.com).

“Holidays Around the World” is at the Frazier History Museum again this year from Nov. 27 through Jan. 3 (829 W. Main St., fraziermuseum.org).

The LOCALS pottery group is having their popular Annual Holiday Pottery Sale this year on Nov. 28, “Shop Small Saturday,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Clifton Center, 2117 Payne St., louisvillepotters.com).

Because of its current renovations, the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (715 W. Main St., kmacmuseum.org) is hosting the KMAC Pop-Up Shop from Dec. 3 through Dec. 20 on Thursdays through Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their usual annual holiday event, “Martinis and Mistletoe,” is happening Thursday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. Both events are temporarily housed at 611 W. Main St.

First Friday Trolley Hop (firstfridayhop.com) is Dec. 4.

Held on Dec. 4-5, the 25th annual WinterFair! is an indoor festival featuring 75 juried artists. The proceeds from this year’s artist raffle will benefit Good Garbage: Center for Creative Reuse (Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Church, 4936 Brownsboro Road, tjuc.org/winterfair).

“Christmastide at Locust Grove” (561 Blankenbaker Lane, locustgrove.org) is Dec. 4 through Dec. 6, with the house decorated as it would have been in 1816. They are also presenting a musical event inspired by Christmas books and plays from the early 19th century, such as “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, on Sunday, Dec. 6.

During the Saturday, Dec. 5 Bardstown Aglow, StudioWorks by Zoom Group (2008 Eastern Pkwy., zoomgroup.org) will have its Holiday Open House.

The University of Louisville’s ceramic students and faculty hold an annual end-of-the-semester clay sale perfectly timed for the holidays. It’s Dec. 3-4 in the building that houses the UofL’s Studio Arts (2314 S. Floyd St., louisville.edu/art).

The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum (1402 St. James Court, conrad-caldwell.org) is serving up the 9th Annual Holiday Victorian Tea, in conjunction with the Old Louisville Holiday Homes Tour, on Dec. 5-6 (reservations required).

Payne Street Pottery and Gallery (531 N. Hite St., paynestreetpottery.com) is holding its 16th annual Holiday Pottery Show on Dec. 5, 12 and 19.

The Umpteenth Annual $20 Art Show is at Copper & Kings Distillery (1111 E. Washington St., copperandkings.com) on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.
