Fox Fest 2025

Fox Fest is back—and it’s bigger, bolder, and louder than ever.

The fourth annual music festival returns to the heart of St. Matthews on Saturday, August 2, with Nappy Roots headlining a packed day of live performances, local food, and community celebration. Held at Fox Den (3814 Frankfort Ave.), the event features two stages, a mix of regional and national bands, and a curated lineup of street-style food trucks.

Doors open at 1 p.m. and the festival is 21 and over.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 day-of.

This year’s full artist lineup includes:

Softspoken, Foxbat, Throwback Thursday, Soul Circus, Mary Mary, Sigmatic, Ipcus Pinecone, End of Me, and Doombots.

Festival organizers had initially planned to keep the headliner under wraps—teasing fans with a blurred-out name on early promotional posters—but revealed earlier this summer that Nappy Roots will close out the evening.

Attendees can also expect some of Louisville’s favorite mobile kitchens on-site, including:

  • Dub’s Delights Rockin Food
  • Tiny Taco Truck
  • Sydney’s Pizza & Subs
  • Islander Noodles
  • Ashley’s Burger Shack
  • Chopped Greens

A portion of proceeds will benefit Love City Inc., a Portland-based nonprofit that empowers neighbors through grassroots community development and education.

“This isn’t just another music festival,” said organizer Jared Fox Matthews, owner of Fox Den Billiards, Bites & Brews. “It’s a feast of flavor, live beats, and local spirit. With Nappy Roots headlining and a killer lineup behind them, this is going to be our biggest year yet.”
