Charlestown Christmas City

Charlestown, Indiana, has once again transformed into Christmas City, a holiday wonderland perfect for families, friends and anyone looking to soak up the holiday spirit. With activities spanning Nov. 29 through Dec. 23, this year’s event promises festive lights, live entertainment, character visits and more.

The celebration began with Light Up Charlestown in November at Greenway Park. Crowds gathered to enjoy performances from local choirs and dancers, delicious food truck offerings and the highly anticipated light switch ceremony at 6 p.m., which illuminated the city in a breathtaking glow. From Greenway Park’s 55-foot Christmas tree to the animated light show at City Square, the holiday magic continues nightly through the end of the year.

Visitors to Greenway Park who tune into 87.9 FM can hear music synced to the animated lights as well.
