On Thursday, September 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center will show Our Library: A Louisville Documentary for free.

Morgan Atkinson, a filmmaker from Louisville, made a movie in 2018 that looks at the effects of public libraries by taking a tour of the Louisville Free Public Library system. Will Oldham, an actor and singer, joins Atkinson in talking about the history and problems that the city’s libraries are experiencing.

Floyd County Library Executive Director Melissa Merida Foster will introduce the screening. Admission is free, but registration is encouraged at nafclibrary.libcal.com.

The Cultural Arts Center is located at 201 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. Regular hours are Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and Friday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
