A feasibility study is under way for a new art school to open in Louisville. If it comes to fruition, the Kentucky School of Contemporary Art (KySCA) will be an accredited four-year college. Stay tuned.

Art by Louisville native Anne Peabody was selected for the 53rd Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious contemporary art exhibitions in the world.

The Oldham County History Center (www.oldhamcountyhistoricalsociety.org) is showing D.W. Griffith’s “Sally of the Sawdust” with W.C. Fields on Friday, July 24. It’ll be shown outdoors at 9 p.m.

 

Call for art:

Today’s Woman magazine is holding a design contest to celebrate their 18th year. They are looking for designs that feature or represent the theme of 18. Along with a photo or scanned drawing of the final design, all submissions must include the name of the artist, address, phone number, e-mail, size, weight, name of the piece and material used.
