5 things to do this weekend in Louisville (7/22)

Blues, Brews and BBQ Fest (July 22–24) Louisville Watertower $13-$30; 6 p.m. It’s hot outside, but don’t let that stop you from having fun this weekend! Head down to the Louisville Watertower for a weekend of blues, brews and barbeque. There will be a number of local artists playing covers of B.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf and Bob Dylan, plenty of New Orleans- and Memphis-style barbecue by local restaurants and, of course, rivers of craft beer and bourbon from Kentucky breweries.

J-Walk Pub Crawl Jeffersontown Free; 6 p.m. Jeffersontown has a budding entertainment district in its downtown area, and they would like to show it off this weekend with pub crawl. So grab your friends, and head to one of the six participating restaurants, bars or breweries including: Bearno's JTown, Recbar, 3rd Turn Brewing, Johnny V's, El Nopal Mexican Cuisine and Loui Loui's Authentic Detroit Style Pizza.

Surf Rock Block Party Block Party Handmade Boutique Free; 6 p.m. There’s a block party happening on South Fourth Street between Guthrie and Chestnut streets, and the theme is a '60s SoCal Tiki party. So expect plenty of tiki beverages, seaside cuisine, live music by Inertia and The Dimestore Dandies, with the Louisville Ukulele Social Club and surf inspired art, with local artists Angryblue, Miss Happy Pink, the Sinisters and Amy Wiedl.

RMLLW2LLZ EP release show with Otis Junior and more Headliners $10; 9 p.m. RMLLW2LLZ (pronounced Romell-with-two-Ls) is about to release his latest EP, Nu Growf. And to celebrate, he decided to throw a kick-ass party with plenty of live music by himself, Otis Junior, Sons of Silverton and DJ Dwight Johnson. If you’re over 21 and a hip-hop fiend, you can’t miss this show. Germantown Flea For All YesterNook Free; 10 a.m. Looking for something low-key and chill to do this weekend? Head over to Germantown for some treasure hunting — or “shopping” as some people call it — at the Germantown Flea For All. While YesterNook will be hosting the event, you can find handmade art, vintage clothing, antiques, furniture, knick knacks and more from a number of Germantown business and food from the Red Top Gourmet Hotdogs food truck.
