5 things to do in Louisville this weekend

FRIDAY

Flea Off Market  Fresh Start Growers Supply, 1007 E. Jefferson St. Free; 4 p.m. The Flea Off Market is back, providing all the local clothing and vintage things you love, as well as some delicious food trucks, all in one convenient place. And even though it lasts all weekend, Friday is the day to be there because that’s when local favorites Jalin Roze and King Kong will rock the stage!

World Fest The Belvedere, 485 W. Main St. Free; Noon We have a huge international community here, and it needs to be celebrated, which is why World Fest is the perfect chance for you to enculture yourself with some international food, music and dance from our diverse, global community.

SATURDAY

Outsized Influence Festival Free; 2:30 p.m. Unsurprisingly, the students and alumni of Bellarmine University are pretty prolific, which is why the Outsized Influence Festival is coming back for a second year to showcase the university’s student art and live music from bands like King Kong, Squeeze-Bot, Steasy Squadron, Ed Monk, In Lightning. Oh, and there will be some tasty food trucks there too!

Golden Culture Festival  Tim Faulkner Gallery, 1512 Portland Ave. $15ADV, $20DO 6 p.m. If you drive by some graffiti on the side of the road and think, “Street Art,” then you will fit in nicely at this festival. There will be hip-hop performances by Dom B, J Cannon, PlayCold and more. Live art (including graffiti) by Mines, Titan, Elboa, Sketch and more. And art showcases by AMC, Lacey Leonard, Audrey Whelan and more. And as always, delicious food trucks.

MONDAY (Labor Day)

Mayor’s hike, bike and paddle Waterfront Park (Great Lawn), 231 Witherspoon St. Free; 7 a.m. This isn’t your typical Louisville event. There is no beer, bourbon or live music. But there is a 5k hike, a 10-mile bike ride or a chance to paddle down the Ohio River through the locks. It’s not a race. There is no prize. Just an excuse to get your friends, family and the dog to go outside on Labor Day and enjoy the last days of summer sun.
