WEDNESDAY, May 4

Turners Annual Steamboat Race Party American Turners-Louisville $5  |  4 p.m. Watch the Great Steamboat Race on the shores of the American Turners club. There will be music from AJ Clements; burgers, brats and burgoo available for purchase, Derby-inspired desserts and Oaks Lilys and other specialty cocktails. 

Annual May the 4th Be With You Bar Crawl Bardstown Road No cover  |  5 p.m.-midnight Star Wars fans unite for a Bardstown Road bar crawl, with themed drinks at each of the nine stops and a cosplay contest.

Star Wars Trivia Tin Roof Louisville No cover  |  8 p.m. Another May the 4th Be With You event to attend: Star Wars trivia at the Tin roof. There will be prizes for first through third places. Make a reservation here.

Influencer Block Party Fourth Street Live! Free  |  8 p.m. Derby Diversity Week hosts this free community event with music from The Real Kid Capri. Derby Diversity Week is an annual summit for women, LGBTQ, minority, veteran and disabled-owned businesses.

THURSDAY, May 5

Tacos, Tequila, and Turntables Guacamole Modern Mexican No cover  |  5-10 p.m. Guacamole is opening is celebrating the opening of its new rooftop tequila bar on Cinco de Mayo with a 360 degree photo booth and DJ sets. There will also be a tent set up in the parking lot, with a taco truck $8 Patrón and Grey Goose cocktails and $5 Top Chico seltzers.

The Backside - A Queer Thurby Party! The Wiggle Room $5  |  9 p.m. “Calling all girls, gays, and theys,” Queer Kentucky presents an LGBTQ+ Derby party, promising plenty of ass shaking, beats from DJ SpringBreak and performances from Uhstel H Valentine and  “top shelf beauty” Champagne.

FRIDAY, May 6

Scenic 62 Long Yard Sale Stage Road 62, Corydon, Indiana No cover  |  8 a.m.-4 p.m. If you’re off on Friday for Oaks Day, here’s something to do other than heading to the track: A mega yard sale along State Road 62 in Southern Indiana. Spread out over 30 miles, vendors set up along the highway. Hawking quilts, antiques, crafts, food, clothing and more. Depending on your direction, you can start in Edwardsville off of I-64 exit 118 or Leavenworth off of exit 92.

Oaks Day Block Party Falls City Brewing Co. No cover  |  Noon-midnight Falls City Brewing Co. and Old 502 Winery are hosting a free Oaks Day party, with DJ Bombshell taking the stage from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Oaks Day Party The Grüv Sports Bar & Lounge No cover  |  3-11 p.m. Head to one of Louisville’s newest restaurants for a lively Oaks Day party featuring multiple DJs, a Gold Boot 1989 bourbon tasting and the Smokeasy Mobile Cigar Lounge.
