A Way Forward On Race Online Free | Noon-1 p.m. Author and Dean of UofLs School of Music Teresa Reed tackles race with this discussion, sharing data from her research; insights from her own life experience; and addressing some of the awkward, but honest questions about race that White people are often afraid to ask. Reed wants to explore the paradigm that perpetuates racial tension and argue for a new paradigm that can bring understanding, healing, and hope."Guided Shinrin Yoku - General Forest Bathing Caperton Swamp Park Donation-based | Noon-2 p.m. Dont worry forest bathing does not involve getting wet. Instead, you bathe in the glory of nature. In this session, participants will be guided on a leisurely walk under the trees of Caperton Swamp Park. Your Shinrin Yoku guide Jennifer Owens will take you through guided activities to help you open your senses, hone your intuition and experience the forest as you never have before. Make sure to bring a full water bottle. This is a donation-based class that is pay-what-you-can, although the suggested donation is $20. You can donate through acts of service and other gifts, as well, such as planting trees, picking up litter or giving a homemade gift. This event is mostly 18+, but you can bring a parent, guardian or other adult if you are younger. Forest bathers will meet in the parking lot.

Sarah Clement and Melissa Mershon will take you on a walk about the grounds to see the homes various species of flowers, plants and trees.
