Learn to Photograph Wildlife at a Louisville Zoo Workshop

If you like photography and animals, the Zoo has an event that’ll teach you about, well, photographing animals.

The Louisville Zoo announced on Tuesday that they’ve got a workshop coming up next week in collaboration with Murphy’s Camera for adults and teenagers who want to learn how to photograph wildlife.

The workshop, “Wildlife Photography Basics,” will run next Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. It costs $30 for Zoo members and $40 for non-members. You can register at this link.

As part of the workshop, Zoo staff will teach participants about the animal behaviors and the times of day that different species are most active. Murphy’s Camera staff members will then teach the basics of lighting and composition in photography.

The workshop is open to participants with all types of cameras, including smartphones.
