They’ll be reading from and discussing their latest works: “Perfect Black” by Wilkinson and “My Old Kentucky Home: The Astonishing Life and Reckoning of an Iconic American Song” by Bingham.

THURSDAY, May 12
‘The Trestle At Pope Lick Creek’

You may experience a spark of familiarity with the title of this play. It’s not about Louisville, but it did debut at the Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Festival of New American Plays. In a rural town during the Great Depression, two teens devise a plan to race across a railway trestle against an oncoming train. Martin French directs this production of the play, which runs through May 17. Admission is pay-what-you-can, but donations are encouraged.
