Not that many years ago, the corner where The Love Boutique sits was the local adult movie district. It was our mini-1970s Times Square with adult bookstores, theaters and certainly a fair share of sex workers. It was where friends and I rented our first porn that became a classic story of girlhood, innocence and hilarity. When Louisville “cleaned” up the corner, thankfully The Love Boutique, formerly in the space of Blue Movies, remained as an ode to the need for adult entertainment.
This weekend, The Love Boutique is continuing its tradition of bringing some adult fun into the Easter weekend with its Adult Easter Egg Hunt. There will surely be some resur-erections happening after this event. This Saturday, April 16 the Love Boutique will show off its new look and give adults some much needed fore-playtime.
“Last year’s event was such an overwhelming success,” says “Diamond” Tim Miller, general manager for the biggest adult boutique downtown, “We had a line outside to get in for most of the morning! It set the pace for what became a record breaking year for us!”
From the release:
Attendees will have two minutes to search for eggs inside the store featuring prizes from three of the largest adult toy companies on the market today, System Jo Lubricants, Femme Funn, and SVAKOM. There will be over 200 eggs and every egg will have a prize inside. It promises to be the most fun anyone can have for the price…absolutely free!
Attendees are urged to come early and get into line, where there will be more giveaways all day until all the special eggs are found. There is a total retail value over $8,000 in prizes and giveaways. Egg hunt begins at Noon on Saturday, April 16 until all eggs are found.
In the most natural of seasons for fertility and creation, along with those who celebrate the resurrection of life, preserving space for the gift of getting off and getting together seems like the best way to enjoy this weekend… especially if you add a chocolate bunny into the mix.
