Happy Year of the Tiger!
Monday was the official start of the Lunar New Year, which is celebrated in many East Asian cultures. This week and next, organizations in Louisville are hosting in-person events to showcase traditional Asian dancing, food and more.
Below are a handful of upcoming events where you’ll be able to celebrate the start of the Year of the Tiger.

Dung Tran’s Fresh Out The Box outpost will be selling traditional Asian dinners, and Boba Fête will serve tea and lunar pastries. River Lotus Lion Dance will provide the entertainment.

This Buddhist temple will offer entertainment from its young members, plus refreshments.

Everyone is welcome at this event, which will offer games and grilled food.

Chinese New Year Festival
The Red Barn at UofL | 2011 South Brook Street | events.louisville.edu | Free | 6-9 p.m.
UofL’s Chinese Scholars Union, APSU, and Chinese Club are joining together to celebrate Chinese New Year with cultural highlights like lion and dragon dancing, Chinese food, traditional Chinese dress and calligraphy lessons.
