Celebrate the arrival of the weekend with the Speed Art Museum at this monthly extravaganza. The museum will be open until 10 p.m. and, in addition to its catalog of art, will feature live music by Swing ’39, Carly Johnson and Tyrone Cotton & Friends; an open rehearsal by Louisville Ballet; a lecture by Dr. John Hale; and a special dinner by Wiltshire at the Speed.

The Dark Market, your place for curated, nighttime oddities and art, is teaming up with Radio Arcane for a Winterfeirer (aka winter celebration). Expect to find art and oddities by over 15 local artists including Yoko Molotov, Dandelion and Ryan Case; and live music provided by DJs Thulsa Goon and Talamasca.

10th Anniversary & Crack Fries Contest

Celebrate the HopCat family’s 10th anniversary this Saturday with free Crack Fries, exclusive brews on tap and a Crack Fries eating contest complete with cash prizes. Free Crack Fries come with any purchase between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and the Crack Fries eating contest begins at 3 p.m. with an entry fee of $5 (proceeds going to the Kentucky Humane Society). Organizers say this Women’s Rally is intended to “mark the one year anniversary of the Women’s Marches and Rallies which followed the Inauguration.” Participating groups include the Fairness Campaign, Indivisible KY and Louisville Democrats.

Feminist Mini Fest

And after the Women’s Rally, stop by Garage Bar for the Feminist Mini Fest benefiting Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. There will be an all-day happy hour in effect that includes $5 mimosas and $3 elixir kombuchas. You can also take the feminist pop quiz, enter door prize drawings, buy raffle tickets, do some crafting and snag some free feminist flare.
