Dr. Dundiff & Friends is a local hip-hop group that is made up of some of the best local MCs (and also known for their legendary Forecastle set last year). The concert is the official release party of their self-titled album. Come out, support local musicians, and grab a copy for 15 bucks. Doors open at 8 p.m., music starts at 9 p.m.

Need some more local music? Come out for a day of it at Poorcastle. The event will feature over 10 bands on Friday and many more throughout the whole weekend. Friday’s lineup includes Stuart Wicke, Juke Joint Revival, The Thumps, Typhoid Beach and a slew of others. The event will benefit the nonprofit radio station, Crescent Hill Radio 100.9 WCHQ FM as well as Louisville’s Musician’s Emergency Relief Fund. Continues through Sunday.

Love all things Big Lebowski? Well, it’s your lucky day. If you didn’t already know, Louisville has an entire festival devoted to honoring the Coen Brother’s classic. The two-day event consists of a movie night as well as a bowling night on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Black Bear Combo will be playing before the showing on Friday. So bring your blankets, chairs and Lebowski spirit. The event is all ages and $15 in advance, $20 the day of.
South Points Buy Local Fair

Go find some local goodies this weekend at the first ever South Points Buy Local Fair. There will be many independent businesses such as Go Ape, Stacy’s Paper Beads and Jewelry, and The Nerdy Planet. There will also be live music, international food and craft beer. (Then, later in the evening at the amphitheater check out “A Midsummer Night’s Circus” presented by Cirque Louis. The show starts at 8 and is $15 the night of and $12 in advance.)
Seven Sense Festival Fundraising

This will be the final fundraising event for the Seven Sense Festival. What is this festival, you ask? Well, it’s a free event that will feature more than 40 acts. But this fundraiser for it will feature music from ZLP, Kendra Villiger, Otis Junior & The Jesse Lees, The Thumps and Ohlm.
