The Community Foundation of Louisville and Louisville Visual Art have presented painter, writer, illustrator and collage artist Julie Leidner with the third annual Mary Alice Hadley Prize for Visual Art. The Carnegie Center’s next Lunch & Learn program is the lecture “Remembering Fiber Artist Alma Lesch” by artist Dennis Shaffner on Tuesday, June 16 from 12-1 p.m. This program is free but registration is required (812-944-7336). A quilt in memory of Lesch, “Any Day in June” by Jeana Klein, won this year’s Award of Excellence at the “Form, Not Function: Quilt Art at the Carnegie” exhibition (carnegiecenter.org).
