Brett Eugene Ralph’s Kentucky Chrome Revue will celebrate the release of its new album March 5 at Nachbar (969 Charles St., 637-4377) with Black Nasty and Thomas A. Minor & the Picket Line. The record features guest appearances by Catherine Irwin, Jolie Holland, Will Oldham, Peter Searcy and many others.

Ben & Daniel
Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin Moore perform a free in-store show at 6 p.m. at ear X-tacy on Tuesday, Feb. 16, the day their album, Dear Companion, will be released on Sub Pop Records. Both are donating all artist royalties to Appalachian Voices, which seeks to end the destructive practice of mountaintop removal mining.

Ear Wax
ear X-tacy will discount more than 2,000 pieces of vinyl from Feb. 14-18. All vinyl will be $1 off and all 7-inch singles will be 50 cents off the lowest sticker price. From Feb. 19-20, all wax will be $2 off and all 7-inch singles will be $1 off lowest sticker price.
