Five Important Questions with: Arnett Hollow
LEO: How come no one ever talks about who’s on the cover of a Wheaties box anymore?
Chris Rodahaffer, singer/guitarist: I think cell-phone shots of athletes taking bong rips have hurt the Wheaties stars. Who has time for breakfast these days?
Michael DuFresne, bassist: Well, since it became public that Reagan was using General Mills to launder money for the Iran-Contra affair, it’s become a bit of a faux pas.
LEO: Did you know S. Epatha Merkerson from “Law & Order” was on the show “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”?
CR: The transition from Mail Lady to Lieutenant was so smooth … honestly, I didn’t know ’til you asked. Is there anything Wikipedia doesn’t know?
MD: Actually, no I didn’t. But did you know she was also in “Navy Seals”? Cinematic masterpiece, if you ask me. I think you’ll agree, all other credits pale in comparison.
LEO: Slowest traffic light in Louisville?
CR: Used to be turning left from Westport Road onto Hubbards Lane. Maybe it just felt really long because I was out past curfew (Sorry, Ma and Pa).
MD: The one in the middle of the night that never turns … that you inevitably have to run.
LEO: I thought it was “holler,” not “hollow.” Your thoughts?
CR: The Arnett I’m familiar with is a “hollow” in North Carolina. We try not to “holler” at folks, but do encourage them to “holla back.”
MD: I think that depending on the company and situation, each could be taken as a pejorative term. So … um … valley?
LEO: Pretend you can develop your own social networking site. What’s the name?
CR: hollaholla.com
MD: www.louisvilleemporiumofmagicalmysteryandwonder.co.uk
