Bryce Hudson will sign his book “Explorations in the Shadow of Pop Culture” on the Feb. 6 First Friday Gallery Trolley Hop from 5-9 p.m. at The Green Building Gallery (www.thegreenbuildinggallery.com). The book signing is part of Hudson’s opening-night exhibit “The Holding Pattern Series & Equilibrium (Deco) Series.”

McKinley Moore is doing a glassblowing demonstration during the Feb. 6 First Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Glassworks (www.louisvilleglassworks.com). 

For the first time, Actors Theatre is hosting a panel discussion in conjunction with the 15th Annual African-American Exhibition. The panel will feature artists Ed Hamilton, Robert Douglas and exhibit juror Kevin Cole on “The Business of Art” on Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. For more info, visit www.actorstheatre.org.

Maria Elena Buszek will present a lecture on “Imaging Desire” on Valentine’s Day at 1:45 p.m. at the Speed Art Museum (www.speedmuseum.org).

Al Gorman will lecture on the late folk artist Marvin Finn on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (www.kentuckyarts.org). Admission is $5, free for members.

Christopher Fulton will give a talk on painter/architect Giotto on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Speed Art Museum.
