Eric Woodruff sounds like one moody S.O.B., but he doesn’t break the brood scale on his self-titled record. Woodruff, once a member of the Washington-state band Delay, played most of the instruments, giving the 11-song record a solid, consistency. Cozy tempos, woozy atmospherics and Woodruff’s catchy half-drone of a voice won’t raise your blood pressure, but it just might slow you down enough to wrestle those few dark thoughts that creep up every now and again. —Mat Herron
