This appalling retouched photo underscores the hypocrisy women face in American journalism and the plastic, smoke-and-mirrors of television journalism in general. Not only are Katie’s missing pixels an insult to all women, but now more than ever it’s important to have the daily bloodshed in Iraq, the third-quarter earnings reports and the new ways cholesterol can kill us read by someone with some junk in the trunk.
