The Children’s Free Art Classes, a Louisville Visual Art Association program, will have an exhibition from April 27-May 16 at the Water Tower, 3005 River Road. Work from middle- and high-school students will be on display. The opening reception is on Thursday, April 27, from 7:30-9 p.m.
Sculptor Stephen Paulovich has been commissioned to do a life-size bronze sculpture of Willie Thrower, the first African-American quarterback in the National Football League. It will be placed in Pittsburgh, Thrower’s hometown.
The Kentucky Watercolor Society now has a gallery and offices at the Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center. They will have the grand opening from 6-9 p.m. on April 28 as part of FAT Friday.
