Taste of Kentucky
A Taste of Kentucky will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Friday, March 10, by giving away free gifts and food at both its Louisville locations, in the Mall St. Matthews and at Village Square Shopping Center in Middletown, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Even better, everything in the store will be 25 percent off that day — and each week following, A Taste of Kentucky will offer one of its most popular items for 25 percent off the retail price. This promotion will include items like Kern’s Kitchen Derby-Pie, Maker’s Mark Sauce, Modjeskas and Julep Cups. For more info, call 244-3355 or visit www.atasteofky.com.

‘Uncorked’ wine tasting
The online group Louisville Uncorked is hosting its annual inaugural spring wine tasting next Wednesday (March 15) that will benefit the Council on Mental Retardation. Each person (or team of three) is encouraged to bring three bottles of the same wine. The top five winners whose wine tastes the best will get to split the unopened bottles. Sounds like a great way to raise some funds — and have a party. There’s a $10 suggested donation, and it’s held at Glassworks, 815 W. Market. E-mail [email protected] for more info.
