Danielle’s opens March 1
Former Park Place on Main chef Allan Rosenberg will open his own restaurant, Danielle’s, beginning with dinner on Wednesday. Rosenberg, 28, who learned under Anoosh Shariat and New York chefs Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Daniel Boulud, said the restaurant concept is casual elegance, featuring classic gourmet American fare and an extensive American wine list. Toad Hollow owner at L&N
Todd Williams, owner and vintner of Toad Hollow Vineyards in Sonoma, Calif., will lead a wine-tasting dinner at L&N Wine Bar and Bistro on Thursday. Williams will discuss eight different Toad Hollow wines during the four-course dinner, which will feature a variety of entrees for pairing — from pan-seared scallops to grilled flank steak. Williams, who is the brother of actor and comedian Robin Williams, is known as one of the most colorful personalities in the wine industry. Oscar’s Bar and Grill (formerly Oscar Brown’s), along with the Louisville Cinema Society, hosts “The Oscars at Oscar’s Party” Sunday, March 5, starting at 6 p.m. Come dressed to the nines and ready for a red-carpet entrance.
