The Negro Problem: A Love Story
Recent weeks have been nothing short of mind numbing. It all began with pre-release publicity for the new book “Game Change” by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. Even though there were other points that I found more interesting (such as multiple exchanges between Bill Clinton and Edward Kennedy as Clinton was attempting to secure Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary), a 2008 Harry Reid quote got the most press.
Reid opined that Obama could indeed win the presidency because he was “light skinned” and spoke with “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”
On the same day “Game Change” hit stores, a catastrophic 7.0-magnitude earthquake crushed the long-suffering, 95 percent-black island nation of Haiti. When I say crushed, I mean crushed. Hundreds of thousands dead, feared dead, dying or seriously injured. The island quickly degenerated into a veritable hell on earth.
In the face of this unimaginable suffering that included children lying dead in the streets, a few madmen took yet another opportunity to spew their sick dribble. Radical Christian cleric Pat Robertson stated as fact that Haiti suffered this disaster and had endured a long line of misery because Haitians “swore a pact with the devil” to free themselves from French rule. Sadly, Robertson spewed this vitriol as “700 Club” co-host Kristi Watts, a black woman, sat and nodded. Shame on you, Kristi Watts.
Not to be outdone, Republican Boss Rush Limbaugh made no attempt to veil his racist slant by enveloping it in religion. He bellowed that President Obama took three days before he reluctantly addressed what Rush calls the “Fruit of Ka-Boom Bomber’s” failed attack in Detroit, but delivered a speech on Haiti in less than 24 hours. Rush’s reason for this was that Obama and his administration were using this situation to “burnish their, shall we say, credibility with the black community, in both the light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country. It’s made to order for them.”
First off, both Rush and Robertson’s souls should be damned to hell. I’m sure they will be if these bastards actually have souls. Beyond that hope — are you kidding me, Rush? — if this clown had an ounce of sense, he would know Obama doesn’t have to do one damn thing to “burnish” his credibility with black people. Black people ARE IN LOVE with Barack Obama, and we all know how irrational love can be. It doesn’t matter that Obama doesn’t love them back. They love him just the same. He doesn’t have to do anything for them. A full year into his presidency he has not and probably never will do anything for them (responding to natural cataclysms that can’t be overlooked not withstanding). But they still love him … MADLY!
Let’s be real, Obama runs from race like the Wicked Witch of the West runs from water. When confronted with the Harry Reid comments, he tossed the conversation out the window faster than Usain Bolt leaves the starting blocks in the 100. Don’t get me wrong, Obama doesn’t actually do anything to hurt black people — he just ignores them. In fact, every time race comes up, Obama, his cronies and supporters (many of them black) will say quite aggressively and quickly that the president “doesn’t need these distractions.” That’s what dark folks are to the supposed progressive president who will bring revolutionary change to American politics, society and the world — distractions. But, they still love him.
If this is change, I piss on it!
Fact is, Reid told the truth. Not considering his inappropriate out-group use of “Negro,” he was right on. America (both black and white) is still color struck and still has a serious race problem, but nobody wants to talk about it. That would be too much of a distraction — and good love affairs must stay focused. Why do you think Haitians were never talked about, largely denied immigration to this country or seriously helped until now? Remember, 95 percent black.
So yes, we still have a Negro problem. In fact, most people think Negroes are the problem. Black folk, however, are so caught up in the throes of their uber-orgasmic Obama lovemaking that they don’t even see it. So, this is what we’ve come to. Change … post-racial America … right.
May God have mercy on Haiti.
Remember, until next time — have no fear, stay strong, stand on truth, do justice, and do not leave the people in the hands of fools.
