Blackacre State Nature Preserve boasts Jefferson County’s largest community garden, which is one reason why it’s an ideal location for a communal, buy-local arts and crafts fair dedicated to environmental sustainability. The festival kicks off Friday night with a concert by Louisville’s own CABIN, complete with bonfire and Against The Grain brews. Concert goers pay either $10 in support of Blackacre or $5 plus a donation of two canned goods to Dare to Care. Saturday features 20 artists and vendors, green living demonstrations and hands-on workshops, food trucks, a play area with bouncy house and Blackacre farm animals and a closing concert by Appalatin!
